Hunting Clothes

Proper clothing is important to allow the hunter to blend in with his surroundings and protec
t him from the elements and thorn bushes. Care must be taken when selecting clothing as
the colour and camouflage must blend in with the surroundings of the area you will be hunting in
. Do not wear very hard or loose clothing as it will continually rub and make unwanted noise.

dominated by very cool to cold early mornings, afternoons and evening with midday being mild to hot.

Terrain:
The terrain and vegetation where hunting occurs in general varies from flat plains with
thorn trees to rocky hills and bushveld with open savanna, consisting of open plains
with tall grass and thorny thickets.

Requirements of African hunting clothing:

  • Must be layered
  • Warm in early mornings and late afternoons
  • Cool during late morning and early afternoon
  • Should protect you from thorn trees
  • Tear resistant
  • Should be silent when you move especially in tall grass
  • Your outer layer should preferably be camo to blend in with your  surroundings
  • Make sure you under wear do not crawl up your bum when you walk to prevent nasty rash
